Shinju Restaurant

We had dinner here and it was really delicious! I would recommend getting a reservation, because it was quite booked. Service was nice and fast and we had the M3 (salmon plate) and other sushi…. We were four people and everybody was really full at the end of dinner!! I can also recommend the non alcoholic cocktails, especially the Ipanema (blue drink)

I came here twice in my 2.5day trip to Berlin. Honestly, the service is bad. Maybe it is bad only in English and just fine in German . How could tap water not be for free and be 1 euros for glass? I would have left that 2€ as tips but 2€ for 2 glasses of tap water? I truly think that is unacceptable. The sushi is nice. I think decently priced and really delicious. I'll come again with my own water.

Our local friend took us here. The fish was very fresh, and the fried rolls were so crunchy. The drinks tasted amazing and would Def visit again

Update. Finally managed to visit the place after a few deliveries and it didn’t disappoint! Everything was great - food, service, ambience. Will definitely be coming back. Keep up the good work. — Ordered for delivery on Friday evening. Everything was quickly delivered and nicely packed. One of the bests nigiri and rolls we had in a while.

SHINJU is a solid Japanese eatery with a relaxed ambiance. Visited on a busy Thurs evening. Had the Shinju scallops, Vegetarian Yaki Udon, & Yuzu lemonade. Scallops were delish. Nice presentation. Wish it came with more pieces though. The Udon was amazing! Well prepared with a variety of fresh veggies & the glaze sauce was balanced: savoury yet semi-sweet. The portions were generous. Yuzu lemonade was refreshing. It had some lemongrass & mint. Great menu! Friendly & attentive staff. Had a chat with Mai. She was sweet. Multiple birthdays were celebrated that night. For each table, they played a Japanese bday song & served a treat with sparklers. At the end, they treated me with a Japanese plum shot. Overall, an enjoyable dinner. Would highly recommend.

We arrived in Berlin and for some reason were craving sushi. I did a quick google search for highest rated and found SHINJU. It did not disappoint. Quality of fish was great, cocktails were delicious and boozy and the service was excellent. Definitely recommend if you want a quiet and/or romantic meal.

This katsu curry was the best food I've ever had. The chicken was crispy and melted in my mouth, the vegetables were soft and soaked up the curry wonderfully. The flavor of the curry was phenomenal. The staff is really polite and helpful and the atmosphere is very nice. The interior is very nicely designed, I especially love the display of the fresh fish. If I lived in Berlin I'd come here every week.

Comfortable, well-decorated restaurant with very good sushi at a very good price point. The sushi boat was gorgeous and everything was delicious! I appreciated the comfortable chairs and ambiance. The only minus was the weak green tea (bag) and slightly inattentive service. But the staff is friendly and I wouldn’t hesitate to return.
